RAVINEVANDRINGER

During the fall of 2024 and spring of 2025, we organized a series of critical walks in the ravine landscapes of Lillestrøm municipality. Through the walks, we focused on the role of the ravines in the face of urban development, biodiversity, and challenges related to, among other things, flooding, pollution and quick clay landslides. The walks addressed various topics discussed directly by landowners, residents, developers and a range of other municipal actors.

The project aimed to highlight the entanglement of different worlds of thinking that make up the network of actors who unconsciously organize themselves around the threatened ravine landscape in Romerike.

The walks created opportunities for discussion and reflection on the future of the ravines in a time characterized by climate change and increased development pressure. Through collaboration with experts, locals and decision-makers, we hope to build a deeper understanding of the importance of ravines. The walks are part of a broader project that also includes seminars, publications and collaboration with local and national stakeholders.

A new walk at Skjetten will be announced in the spring of 2025
